Introduction
This article is intended as a companion to the Live Assist documentation. Screenshots will show how the Live Assist generic sample application configuration looks on an Android device.
Lab System
This shows the config for Live Assist 1.2.21 LA app against a Lab server (192.168.8.59).
The config screen
Set the website to use, in this example we will use cafex.com
Then set the server, in this example it's 192.168.8.59
Set the port to 8443 (default)
Now set the connection to secure
Now set the agent id to agent1, that will call https://192.168.8.59:8443/assist-agent-console/
And that is it, click the return button to go back to the app and you should now be able to make a call from the Android Live Assist application to an agent logged in via a WebRTC enabled browser (e.g. Chrome) at https://192.168.8.59:8443/assist-agent-console/ by clicking on the Video Assist button at the bottom left of the page.
Using a reverse proxy & calling a SIP uri.
In this example we use a reverse proxy on the web to access a Live Assist installed behind it in the corporate network. Instead of calling agent1 we are going to call a SIP uri which will call into queue.
The config is similar to above with the below changes.
New server address
Set the port to 443 (Reverse proxy will use standard ssl port)
Set the agent id to a SIP uri
Now press the return button to go back to the app. With this config the Live Assist sample app will access a Live Assist server behind a reverse proxy and make a call to a SIP uri for the agent.
