There is an issue where the GUI trials installer will fail on an install if it cannot find a GZIP version of the file.
When you download the mediabroker file it will look like the following:
(This is a Mac example)
media-broker-native-22.mac.tar.gz
You must not unzip this down to a .tar file, the installer requires you to pass it the whole .tar.gz file. If you have unpacked this, re-download and do not unpack the mediabroker before proceeding.
Known Safari Issue
Safari has a known issue where it will unpack a file as soon as it is downloaded. To stop this default behaviour simply follow the following steps:
- Open Safari
- Open the Preferences menu:
In Mac OS X: Click Safari > Preferences
In Windows: Click Edit or Settings () > Preferences
- In the window that opens, click General
- Remove the check from the box beside "Open 'safe' files after downloading"
- Download the file again
The download should now be a .gz format post download and the install should go through as expected.
